BOOKING ENGINE
Route selection
The first step of the booking process is searching for routes. Initially, the user has the option to choose between:
- One-way
- Round trip
- Multiple routes
Depending on the user’s selection, the corresponding fields will appear in the search form:
- Departure port
- Destination port
- Departure date
- Return date (for round trip)
- Number of passengers
- Number of vehicles
Once the user has filled in the details, they click the “Search” button.
Booking details
At this stage, the user is shown the departures for the routes they have selected. For each departure, the following details are provided:
- Indicative price
- Ferry company
- Departure and arrival times
- Seat availability
For each route, the user can select a different date by using the calendar above the departures.
Once the user selects the desired route by clicking on it, they then click the “Continue” button.
Seat selection
For each route, the user initially selects:
- their gender
- their age/social group
- the frequent traveler card of the specific ferry company (if they have one)
- the unique islander number (MAN), if applicable
By clicking the (+) button, they can add the next passenger.
Next, the user selects the type of vehicle, again the frequent traveler card (if they have one), and any discount they are entitled to for the vehicle fare.
Additionally, the user can add services such as declaring a pet in the cabin. These services depend on the policy of each ferry company.
Once all the details are filled in, the user can click the “Calculate price” button to see the total ticket price in a window on the right side of the page. By clicking the “breakdown” button, the price per unit (passengers/vehicle) is displayed in the same window.
The user then clicks the “Continue” button to proceed to the next stage of the booking.
Passenger details
At this stage, the user fills in the following mandatory details in Latin characters:
- Full name (in Latin characters)
- Nationality
- Date of birth
If any person in the booking requires special assistance, the user can select the corresponding field in the form.
If there is a vehicle included in the booking, the user enters the license plate number.
By clicking the “Continue” button, the user proceeds to the next stage of the booking.
Contact details
At this stage, the user fills in their contact details, which are:
- Full name
- Email address
- Mobile and landline phone number
- Street and number
- Comments (optional)
By clicking the “Continue” button, the user proceeds to the next stage of the booking.
Delivery and service details
At this stage, the user selects the method by which they wish to receive their tickets. There are three options:
- Collection from the departure port
- Delivery by courier (additional cost)
- Collection from our offices
If previously selected, the user will need to provide any information required for the chosen service.
This is the final stage of the booking before payment. By clicking the “Payment” button, the user proceeds to the final step.
Payment
In the secure environment of the bank, the user fills out the special form with their credit or debit card details.
By clicking the “Payment” button, the booking process is completed.
SERVICE FEE
FerryTravel.gr charges a 3% service fee on the total ticket amount.

What is the FerryTravel charge for each ferry ticket cancellation/change request?
Only the cancellation fees charged by each ferry company apply.
SPECIAL DISCOUNTS
What are the conditions for round trip discounts?
Only certain companies offer a 20-30% discount on return tickets when they are purchased at the same time as the outbound tickets. However, we recommend that you consult the terms and conditions of the ferry company.
What are the conditions for disability discounts?
In general, a 50% discount applies to individuals with a disability rate of over 85%. If a vehicle has the special permit, a 50% discount is also provided. However, we recommend that you consult the terms and conditions of the ferry company.
What are the conditions for discounts on children’s tickets?
In general, the following children’s discounts apply:
- 0-4 years old: 100% discount in economy class
- 5-10 years old: 50% discount in all classes
However, we recommend that you consult the terms and conditions of the ferry company.
